Teamwork makes the dream work! Meet my tax office support team.

I wanted to take a quick minute to introduce you to my incredible team. Up until this last year, I have always been a one woman show, but in 2024 I brought on a social media manager, and an administrative strategist, to help my business grow and still run smoothly in the process.

Laura Baker joined me last summer as my social media manager and has been instrumental in growing my YouTube channel, posting regularly on my socials, sending out my newsletters, and helping update my website after my recent rebrand with Ekstrand Creative. Stephanie Reafsnyder also joined me at the end of the summer and has been a huge help with all kinds of small tasks that I haven’t had the time or energy to tackle. She has updated my fillable pdf worksheets and created some new ones, organized my digital file cabinets, updated my client lists and streamlined processes, and created a Standard Operating Procedure manual for Casler Financial (an assignment I had been meaning to get to since participating in Biz Pod last spring.) She will also be handling day to day admin stuff this tax season so if you are a client, you may likely have the pleasure of speaking with her. She will be managing my calendar, keeping digital files organized, maintaining my CRM, answering phone calls, and sending out email confirmations when your tax returns are accepted. She is also interested in getting her tax license so I’m hopeful that in the future, she will be able to help out even more.

Oregon is one of the only states that requires specific licensing in order to prepare tax returns, and the state is very particular. They don’t allow anyone to even work on a tax return, even doing data entry, unless they are a licensed tax preparer, licensed tax consultant or a CPA or attorney. This is great for you as the consumer, it means you’re getting top quality service from trained professionals, but it definitely makes it hard to find staff. I would love to be able to help more people, so I am looking to bring on another preparer or two over the next couple of years (if you happen to know anyone who is licensed or interested in getting licensed.)

Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out to both these amazing ladies, and say how much I appreciate having you on the Casler Financial team. Teamwork makes the dream work and this little business I’ve built from the ground up is truly a dream come true!
